Where in the Bay Area do Coach Eve and Coach Toby coach?

Coach Eve and Coach Toby see clients in San Francisco and Marin County.

Where do training sessions take place in San Francisco?

Both Coach Eve and Coach Toby meet clients at Crissy Field, Marina Green, Presidio, Golden Gate Park and Kezar Stadium. Coach Toby has a little more flexibility to meet clients in other areas of SF, including the SOTA track and Glen Park.

Where do training sessions take place in Marin?

Coach Eve meets clients in multiple spots throughout northern and southern Marin. Favorite locations include Blackie’s Pasture, Hauke Park in Mill Valley, College of Marin track in Kentfield, Rodeo Beach, Tennessee Valley and Crown Fire Road. Coach Toby also coaches in southern Marin.

Is there a cancellation policy?

Yes. We have a 24-hour cancellation and rescheduling policy for all clients. (If for any reason Coach Eve needs to cancel in the 24 hours prior to a session, she adds a free training session.)

I’m a beginning runner. Do you really work with true beginners?

Absolutely — Coach Eve and Coach Toby have worked with lots of clients who have never before run a step in their lives!

Do training sessions take place in the rain?

Yes! All sessions take place rain or shine. The 24-hour cancellation policy applies. The only exception is in the event of lightening, in which case sessions are cancelled as a safety precaution.

If you really hate the rain, and based on the forecast, want to cancel a session more than 24 hours in advance, you are certainly welcome to do that.

A few tips for joyful rainy runs:

  • Wearing a hat with a brim will keep the rain out of your eyes. This makes all the difference for me.

  • Dry your shoes post-run by removing the soles and stuffing newspapers into each shoe. The newspaper will absorb the water, and you should be good to go the next day.

  • You may consider wearing a waterproof shell.

How long do I have to schedule my sessions after I purchase them?

All sessions and coaching programs expire 1 year after the purchase date.

Can I purchase a gift certificate or gift card for someone else?

Yes! Any of our coaching services can be purchased as a gift, and Coach Eve will send you a gift certificate pdf for the recipient. You may also purchase a gift card in any amount for the recipient to use toward Coach Eve and Coach Toby’s services.
